President Trump signed on Friday an executive order that severely restricts immigration from seven Muslim countries, suspends all refugee admission for 120 days, and bars all Syrian refugees indefinitely.
Who is not affected? The executive order applies only to non-U.S. citizens, so anyone with U.S. citizenship—whether that person in natural-born or naturalized—is not affected. Who is affected? For 120 days, the order bars the entry of any refugee who is awaiting resettlement in the U.S. It also prohibits all Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. until further notice. Additionally, it bans the citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries—Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen—from entering the U.S. on any visa category. Is this a Muslim ban? Technically, no. The ban includes seven majority Muslim countries, but by no means are these states the most populous Muslim countries, nor are they among the top sources of Muslim immigration to the U.S., nor have they produced terrorists in the same numbers as other Muslim countries not on the list. Indeed, Muslims from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and other countries can still visit the U.S. Is there legal action? Yes. Judges in four cities—Alexandria, Virginia; Boston; New York; and Seattle—ruled against the detention of individuals at airports—in cases filed by the ACLU and others. The rulings appear to be limited to those people already at U.S. airports or in transit. They do not appear to say anything about the legality of the president’s actions. DHS said it would comply with the orders—and some,but not all, of the people being detained at airports were allowed to leave. What is the impact? The number of permanent residents from these countries is relatively small. For instance, 1,016,518 green cards were issued in 2014. Of these, 19,153 went to Iraqis and 11,615 to Iranians, according to the Department of Homeland Security’s data. These two countries make up the overwhelming majority of U.S. permanent residents from among the seven nations, which together have 500,000 permanent resident in the U.S
Women are an integral part of today’s society.They have an active social life. They participate in various social and cultural functions.
A woman today no longer lags behind the man in the most occupations. She plays the games of football, cricket, and hockey. She draws the attention of the world as an athlete.
The women can no more be kept behind the curtains doing only domestic duties. Our society is accepting the wider participation of women. They are working as pilots; and they are even holding the helm of a country’s administration.
The women now work in offices both as clerks and as officers. They participate at Assemblies and Parliaments as the people’s representatives.
Women, with her intelligence and personality, protect the family from disruptions and disintegration.
Women held high status and position in Ancient times. In later ages, her status deteriorated. Evidently, a majority of the women still do not enjoy equal status.
Women’s position in the family very much depends upon the level of their education. Higher the level of her education, greater equality she enjoys in the family.
It appears that Indian woman is still not treated at par with man in social and family life. The educated women even today though earning, are in acquiescence with the doctrine of the male domination. The education may have made them economically independent, but they still lack the needed self-confidence.
The reason seems to be that they have been brought up under the old cultural atmosphere and they have not been able to shake off its influence even after the acquisition of modern education.
However, in our times, her role has changed. Society has started recognizing her contribution. There is need for complete equality among men and women. She has all the rights to command equal status with men

जैसा कि हम सब इस बात से भलीभांति परिचित है कि हमारे चारो तरफ आज एक ऐसा माहौल बन चुका है कि हर रोज़ कही न कही किसी न किसी देश के कोने में हर रोज ऐसे ख़बरें सुनते हैं कि आज यहाँ बलात्कार हुआ वह बलात्कार हुआ और हम सब ये सब किसी अख़बार या टीवी में देख कर थोड़ी देर के लिए उसके बारे में सोचते हैं और उन लोगों को कोसते हैं जिन्होंने ये काम किया है |
उसके बाद हम सब अपने अपने काम काज़ में व्यस्त हो जाते हैं और कुछ ही दिन में उस खबर को भूल जाते हैं |
हक़ीक़त तो ये है कि कही न कही उस से हम सबकी ज़िन्दगी जुडी हुयी है आखिर कौन है वो लोग जो महिलाओ को बस एक बस्तु के तौर पर देखते हैं उनकी इज्जत के साथ खेलते हैं ?
वो सब हम ही हैं हाँ ये बात सच है |
हम सब जब भी किसी लड़की या महिला को देखते हैं तो उनपर कुछ न कुछ बोलते हैं क्या आप जानते हैं कि हम जिस लड़की या महिला के बारे में ये सब सोचते हैं वो भी किसी कि बहन है बेटी है बीवी है |
एक बार खुद सोचो अगर कोई हमारी बहन या बेटी के बारे में ये सब बोले जो हम दुसरो की बहन बेटियों के बारे में बोलते हैं तो मैं दावे के साथ बोल सकता हूं हमारा खून खोल जाता है क्यों ?
क्योंकि वो हमारी बहन या बेटी के साथ हुआ है |
अगर बदलना है तो हम सबको खुद से शुरुआत करनी होगी खुद कि गन्दी सोच बदलनी होगी महिलाओ के प्रति |
अगर किसी को बदलना है किसी कि सोच को बदलना है तो खुद कि सोच बदलनी होगी |
जबतक हम खुद को नहीं बदल सकते तो किसी को क्या बदलेंगे ?
हम सब सोच कर रह जाते हैं कि ये काम सरकार का है हमने सरकार किस लिए चुनी है लेकिन ये एक बहुत ही गलत धारणा है | जो लोग ये घिनोना अपराध करते हैं वो हम सबके बीच में ही हैं |
हम सरकार से क्यों उम्मीद लगाए बैठे हैं जिसके अंदर खुद ऐसे लोग हैं जो ऐसे काम करते हैं |
कुछ हमारे देश के नेता सिर्फ लड़कियो को कोसते हैं कि उन्होंने ऐसे कपडे क्यों पहने वैसे क्यों पहने ?
अरे साहब कपड़ो को बदलने से नहीं अपनी सोच बदलने से ये देश बदलेगा |
हमारे देश मुद्दे तो बहुत हैं जिन पर हम सब को खुलकर बहश करनी चाहिए लेकिन आज सबसे बड़ा मुद्दा है तो वो है महिलाओ कि इज्जत का सवाल |
अगर महिलाये न होती तो हम सब न होते शायद ये संसार न होता जिन्होंने इस दुनिया को बनाया है आज हम उनकी ही इज्जत करना भूल गए हैं |
अगर आपको भी अपनी लाइफ में आगे बढ़ना है तो भी एक महिला के बिना आप नहीं बढ़ सकते वो महिला माँ के रूप में पत्नी के रूप में या बहन के रूप में कही न कही आपकी ज़िन्दगी में सफल होने में योगदान देती है |
इसीलिए बस इतना ही कहूंगा महिलाओ कि इज्जत करें वो अपने परिवार कि हो या दूसरे परिवार कि और किसी को सीख देने से पहले खुद को बदले अपनी सोच बदलें क्योंकि जब तक हम खुद को नहीं बदल सकते तो कुछ नहीं बदल सकते |
और आगे से किसी भी लड़की के बारे में कुछ बोलने से पहले एक बार सोचें कि उसकी जगह आपकी बहन को कोई कुछ बोले तो आपको कैसा लगेगा ?

आरक्षण : ये भारत में एक ऐसी प्रक्रिया है जिसका मुख्य मकसद था जो गरीब लोग हैं उनको उनका अधिकार मिल सके सरकारी नौकरी में जिस से वो बर्षो से बंचित थे |
आरक्षण के मुख्य सूत्र धार भारत रत्न डॉक्टर भीमराव अम्बेडकर जी हैं जिन्होंने उन लोगों के हक़ की लड़ाई लड़ी और सफल भी हुए जो बर्षो से गरीब भरी ज़िन्दगी जी रहे थे |
लेकिन पिछले ६० बर्षो से इस प्रक्रिया के दो अलग अलग पहलु बन चुके हैं |
आज बर्षो बाद इस प्रक्रिया को बदलने का समय आ चुका है |
मेरा अपना विचार है के अब आरक्षण को जाति के आधार पर न रखकर इसे अब आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर लोगों के लिए आधार बनाकर लागू करना चाहिए |
थोड़ा समय काम होने की वजह से अभी मैं ये लेख यही समाप्त कर रहा हूं|
